Stone quarried to make way for the foundations was repositioned at the base of the building and reused in landscaping.
Pink earth became the colouring element of flooring and plaster.

CorTen steel allowed for the insertion of technical elements and shading, letting the natural patina of the material act.

Constants of colour and material become pivotal elements in the innovation, while being the result of an interpretative and contemporary code based on a careful reading of the landscape and its cultural symbols.

THE PROJECT

The volumes are essential and cut to the silhouette of the interior; barrel-vaulted rooms are enclosed by cubic volumes, flat-roofed rooms are revealed by parallelepipeds. The assemblage recalls the complexity and feeling of old local houses.

Energy efficiency and environmental sustainability are other key elements. The building is in energy class A4 and is built according to the principles of the sustainable law of the area.
